I think the manager got the formation wrong. Playing 4-2-3-1 against Liverpool's press was suicidal. Should have gone with 4-3-3 for more midfield control.

The midfield was completely overrun. We need a proper holding midfielder who can shield the defense.

Tactics aside, the players just didn't show up. Poor effort and desire throughout the team.
